All The Colours

"I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it. People think pleasing God is all God cares about. But any fool living in the world can see it's always trying to please us back." ~ Alice Walker, The Color Purple

This time of year, all the beauty of Mother Nature is on display. Those roadside plants we call weeds are bursting with infinite colours and textures. Queen Anne's Lace. Sweet Peas. Clover. Black-eyed Susans. And a gazillion others I don't know the names of. But, really, what we call them isn't important. That we gaze upon them, that we revere them, that we fall in love with them is of primary importance.

The gifts of Mother Nature are there to remind us that we do live in a caring world, one filled with beauty, patience, and purpose. And it absolutely behooves us to notice.
